A vital nutrient: Water is an essential element in the composition of body cells, and water plays an essential role in protecting the tissue structure in the body. Also, many of the biological reactions in the body’s organs and cells depend mainly on water.

– Carrier of nutrients: Water transports and distributes nutrients and other elements necessary for various organs of the body, and water works to remove various sediments and toxins from the body through urine and stool.

Balances the body temperature: where the person relies on keeping the body temperature within a specified range. A large part of the water in the body plays an important role in the balance of body temperature within the required range. And a good example of the importance of water in cooling the body temperature: the process of sweating, as the evaporation of water from the skin cools the body (after it comes out in the form of sweat).

Protecting body parts and absorbing shock: the eyes, the human brain and the back vertebrae are all sensitive components of the body that depend on a layer of water that works to protect them.

 

Helps absorb nutrients: Water breaks down minerals, vitamins, amino acids, glucose and other nutrients. Therefore, water is essential and has a very basic role in converting food into absorbable particles (nutrients).

Protection of the fetus: We must not forget that the entire process of fetal development takes place in a water medium. In addition, water is present in the saliva and in the digestive system, and the main function of water is to transport food from the mouth to the intestine, as it helps the process of digesting food and prevents constipation.

Laxative for the joints of the body: water helps the easy movement of the joints of the bones, where it works in this case as a lubricant.

Where we need water in most of the body’s physiological reactions, it is necessary to maintain body moisture and health and work to maintain the integrity of the skin, as it is necessary to maintain the body temperature in the normal range and prevent dehydration. Do not forget to drink at least 10 glasses of water daily. And you may need more than that in hot seasons like summer.
